I love to find where the kookaburras are perching around our house, sometimes it is a game of I Spy until you hear them. We hear them “laughing” about 3 or 4 times a day, checking in on one another kookaburras to stay away and announcing mealtimes to us! This one watched me and the garden for most of the afternoon, preening it’s feathers and almost begging to be photographed.

Artist Bio
Rory Boyd is a high school student living in Apollo Bay. His favourite places to be are on a surfboard, behind a camera or sitting reading a book. He has a deep passion for wild places, and loves exploring them with his family. He has recently become very interested in studying birds of the Otways.
