Superb Fairy Wrens are always dancing in my garden. They are quite trusting of us and come quite close. We see both male and females all throughout the year, on our deck and looking through our windows. I love it when the males get their full mating colours like this one, the blue is so vibrant, it reminds me of the ocean.

Rory Boyd is a high school student living in Apollo Bay. His favourite places to be are on a surfboard, behind a camera or sitting reading a book. He has a deep passion for wild places, and loves exploring them with his family. He has recently become very interested in studying birds of the Otways.
