Woman of Forrest and Sea-Tree
This was a project inspired and created to enter into the Apollo Bay Arts Show. Being a place where the forrest meets the sea it felt appropriate to thread that through in the direction we took.
This image was taken at Stevenson’s Falls 2022. I wanted to enter it to honor that which holds us. Our Mother, the greatest pillar of strength that holds many secrets and codes for us to discover. Her children, treasure hunters on a life long mission to learn, unlearn, learn again. Birth, death, rebirth. May we allow our roots to go deep into the dark and our branches to raise up high and wide, accepting the seasons and elements to flow through us, leaving their mark for us to wear with joy for the lives we’ve been gifted. Much Amore

Artist Bio
Wild Beauty Otways was birthed in 2020 as a result of the covid pandemic we all journeyed through. Living in the forrest surrounded by natural beauty I found myself observing the light shift and change with the elements and seasons that were prevalent. I began playing with self portraits as a way to express my frustrations and pent up feelings being isolated in the bush. These portraits were always taken out playing with that light I had grown a relationship with, and the elements that came to play always helped to direct the way the shoot went. It’s a co-creation with nature and feels like real magic. I then moved into taking other’s photos, going on journeys into the woods felt like stepping into their inner psyche and having it mirrored in our outer world. Because of this, I found these journeys offered an element of therapy with them and those that accepted the invite felt it too. I am not a trained photographer, my work is all intuitive and each photo is taken from the heart.
