I love gum trees and their leaves. In this picture I printed the gum leaves straight onto the paper using acrylic paint, then worked over the top with watercolour, pastel and pencil. The image is a homage to the gum trees that survive all manner of natural stress – bushfires, droughts and the rest.

Artist Bio
Caroline is a practicing artist and art therapist with a special interest in how creativity can enhance wellbeing. Caroline recently moved to Apollo Bay from Melbourne and is constantly inspired by the natural beauty of the area. She enjoys working with mixed media on paper, combining a range of techniques including printmaking and collage.
