Gum Rhythms

I love gum trees and their leaves. In this picture I printed the gum leaves straight onto the paper using acrylic paint creating a rhythmic pattern, then I worked over the top with more acrylic, pencil and ink pens. I enjoy the randomness of these techniques and am inspired by the emerging textures that are created by the randomness.

Artist Bio
Caroline is a practicing artist and art therapist with a special interest in how creativity can enhance wellbeing. Caroline recently moved to Apollo Bay from Melbourne and is constantly inspired by the natural beauty of the area. She enjoys working with mixed media on paper, combining a range of techniques including printmaking and collage.
