Daisies are elegant in their simplicity and often overlooked for flashier flowers. This is one of three daisy paintings I undertook in a short space of time and probably the quietest painting. This painting comes in an American oak floating frame.

Artist Bio
Julie Hobbs was born in country Victoria and spent 26 years as a newspaper journalist in Geelong before moving to Warrnambool on the south-west coast several years ago. Since then, she has developed her art from a much-loved but neglected hobby. In 2020, she completed a Certificate IV Visual Arts course at South West TAFE. Julie works predominantly in oil paints in a realism style. Her paintings are a constant search for the beauty of humanity in the everyday. Her work has been selected in national art prizes, including the Kennedy Prize (2018) and Villiers Outback Art Prize (2022).
