Artist Bio
James Mulcahy is a Jan Juc based artist and carpenter who moved to the coast after studying Fine Arts at RMIT University.
He started painting with watercolour during high school under the guidance of Point Londsdale artist Ben Shearer. James’ inspiration is his immediate environment of the east Australian landscape. He paints from life in and around the Apollo bay region. His paintings are both realist and abstract, an exploration of form, colour, light and emotion.
