I take photos of local trees on my daily walks and this is a drawing developed from one of those pics. I was fascinated by the very dark and textured trunk which was in stark contrast to the feathery leaves and flowers of the tree. I also loved the twist of the branches.

Caroline is a practicing artist and art therapist with a special interest in how creativity can enhance wellbeing. Caroline recently moved to Apollo Bay from Melbourne and is constantly inspired by the natural beauty of the area. She enjoys working with mixed media on paper, combining a range of techniques including printmaking and collage.
