Inspiration for this piece was the little birds mainly plovers I guess that nest on the shoreline and often at times have their nests destroyed by the tides and the rains and winds that are a constant threat and hazard to these tiny fragile creatures. I’ve attempted to capture these elements and the debris on this large platter of sand. It can be a center piece or simply a beautiful wall hanging.

Artist Bio
Born in the UK, emigrated to Melbourne in 2004 and then relocated to Apollo bay in 2007, Became interested in pottery a few years ago and have never looked back. I love to create whether it be sculpting animals to creating bird baths and bowls and often letting my imagination run wild and just seeing what can develop out of a piece of clay from the practical to the weird and sometimes wonderful.
