Artist Bio
I’m a woodturner based in Torquay with a place at Skenes Creek. I’ve been woodturning for 30 years. Over this period, I’ve won multiple awards at the Australian Woodturning Exhibition and sold pieces through multiple galleries. I use mainly Australian timbers that are recycle or sustainably sourced. The man focus of my work is natural edge pieces and sculptured turned pieces. Timber is considered a stiff and ridged material, with my pieces I try to give it a more liquid and flexible form as in the splash piece.
