She Sells Sea Shells.

$800.00

She sells sea shells by the sea shore. Or should she? I love the sea. I love shells. And our ecosystem prefers the shells to stay on the beach if possible. Our seas and shores are already struggling. Perhaps we can admire their beauty and leave them for others to enjoy (and keep the ecosystem strong.)

Artist Bio

Colour, gesture and the essence of subjects are fundamental facets to Jacqui’s artwork. Elements of figurative expressionism alongside pop surrealism and street/urban art give her inspiration and passion in her quest to create.

Jacqui explores the figures central to her work initially through pencil. Acrylic paint is used to help give body and soul to the forms as she gets to know the figures she creates in an emergent process. It is through this approach that every image has its own story.
After studying Textile Design and Fine Art at RMIT and completing Graduate Diploma of Education, furthered with Rudolf Steiner Teacher Training, and Creative Arts Therapy at MIECAT, she runs her own business, Jacqui Lewis Art Therapy and Counselling. She juggles this with motherhood and her own artistic endeavours.
