Rockpool Conversations #2

$550.00

Rockpool Conversations #2 is the second in the series that consists of circles that are interconnected, resembling the rock pools found on beach. The inspiration for this series came after a week at the beach with my family, watching the kids play in the rock pools while the adults chatted with their feet submerged in the sand. The many layers of acrylic paint, along with the scraping of circle shapes with a palette knife to reveal the underpainting, add texture and depth to the painting, much like the varied surfaces and textures found in a rocky shoreline. Each circle represents a unique universe that expands and connects with others.
