This painting was inspired by the story of Pelorus Jack, a dolphin which would pilot ships in the nineteenth century into the Pelorus Sound /Te Hoiere at the north end of the South Island of New Zealand / Aotearoa.

I paint semi-abstract landscapes incorporating multiple viewpoints.
I have recently returned to Australia after a number of years in New Zealand /Aotearoa. I exhibited frequently with the New Zealand Academy of Fine Arts, receiving the curator’s prize in 2021.
