Meeting SOLD!!
$320.00
Meeting’ is a scratched, torn and inked image on Japanese dry point card, it is deliberately raw, imperfect and intimate encouraging the viewer to wonder. The work is experimental and evolved using a small hand cut stencil to create the image of a person and then reverse printed by hand to create the second image. Lines were scratched and the card torn and rubbed with sandpaper to create texture and form. Rather than printing from the plate the work is the finished plate, inked and wiped to create the tone, it is a one off.

Artist Bio
I love the small and simple in most parts of life but particularly when appreciating and making art. While playing around with my own untrained practice and questioning my transition from a busy working life to the desire to make things, a friend gave me some words of advice “just have a look in your box of bits and pieces and start playing”! This is a few years ago now and I now describe myself as a mixed media artist living in South West Victoria, I use a variety of mediums and techniques and my work is usually small. ‘Meeting’ is a scratched, torn and inked image on Japanese dry point card, it is deliberately raw, imperfect and intimate encouraging the viewer to wonder.
