Life Around The Rockpool
$350.00
Life Around The Rockpool is a further study in the Rockpool series and is an abstract observation of life at the beach. The navy blue background represents the depth of the ocean and the orange circles and shapes evoke the vivid colours and forms of sea creatures and shells. The circles and shapes are interconnected, much like how the inhabitants of a rockpool are all part of a larger ecosystem. The many layers of acrylic paint, along with the scraping of circle shapes with a palette knife to reveal the underpainting, add texture and depth to the painting, much like the varied surfaces and textures found in a rocky shoreline.
