This work was started last year and abandoned. However recently we have had so many amazing cloud formations I thought this painting had the potential to add a very turbulent sky which led to a very vibrant overall colour pallete. Gibson Steps is just south of the 12 apostles on the Great Ocean Road.
The work is framed in Australian hardwood.

Artist Bio
Based in Torquay I paint landscapes. They are not simply an impression of places in-situ — they are also drawn from my imagination and my lived experience of the place. My colour palletes are often arrived by saturating hints of colours found in nature. By combining these two approaches in tandem with a strong graphic qualities and use of pattern, my works straddles abstraction and representational approaches to painting.
I have been part of many group shows, a solo show at Boom Gallery in Geelong and more recently I have primarily doing commission work .
