Flax,flotsam and fabric basket
$100.00
This tiny basket is made from beach finds in Skenes Creek during walks in 2020 when the lockdown first occurred. I have used the traditional eel basket technique to weave together the found objects in this basket which I learnt from my friend Judi who was shown the stitch by Aunty Browen Razem. Some of the core fabrics are also upcycled sari silks, hay and and fabric pieces from my stash .It’s called bobs basket as it’s perfect for storing bits and bobs.
