I have been weaving and stitching with natural fibres since I joined Basketmakers of Victoria in 2004 . I am interested in the many plants that can be used for the craft and the way plant materials lend themselves to different shapes. Since moving to Aireys Inlet 16 years ago I have been studying the local vegetation and my garden has expanded to include grasses, vines and leaves that I can use to make baskets. I have also experimented with other materials and textures like bread bags , fabrics , cane and paper dress patterns . Basketmaking has become a passion and I have taught and exhibited my work on many occasions.
