Artist Bio
An artist for 33years Margaret’s original interest was in all subjects, including landscapes, seascapes, buildings, still life and flowers in all mediums. Her interest was extended to include botanical art in 1997. She was awarded 3 Silver- Gilt Medals in Royal Horticultural Society of London Botanical Exhibitions in 2002 – 4 – 6. One of her Protea paintings was purchased by The Hunt Institute in Pittsburgh USA, these have been some of the greatest highlights in her art career.
Margaret was Founder, Principle & Tutor at Geelong Botanical Art School in 2001 and tutored for seven years till 2007 and is now retired.
She is available for specialised workshops throughout Australia, workshops for example:
Drawing – graphite, pen & ink and Silverpoint in all subjects.
Watercolour – vellum paintings in dry brushwork & aquarelle washes on w/c paper, all subjects. Oils – all subjects Pastels – all subjects.
