The Plight of the Hooded Plover
$800.00
The Hooded Plover is a shorebird of Southern and Eastern coasts of Victoria (including Apollo Bay). They nest on the beach just above the high tide line between August to March. The beaches are already struggling with erosion, weeds, and us human folks as we walk, swim, run with our dogs etc. Can you guess the problem these birdie folk have?

Artist Bio
Colour, gesture and the essence of subjects are fundamental facets to Jacqui’s artwork. Elements of figurative expressionism alongside pop surrealism and street/urban art give her inspiration and passion in her quest to create.
Jacqui explores the figures central to her work initially through pencil. Acrylic paint is used to help give body and soul to the forms as she gets to know the figures she creates in an emergent process. It is through this approach that every image has its own story.
After studying Textile Design and Fine Art at RMIT and completing Graduate Diploma of Education, furthered with Rudolf Steiner Teacher Training, and Creative Arts Therapy at MIECAT, she runs her own business, Jacqui Lewis Art Therapy and Counselling. She juggles this with motherhood and her own artistic endeavours.
