My art is inspired by my love of the underwater world, a space I have become very familiar with through many years of diving and snorkelling. I try to capture the beauty and diversity of the many exquisite marine creatures I have discovered. I particularly love Cowfish, Sea Dragons, Leafy Sea Dragons and Sea Horses. I have dabbled in underwater photography as a reference point to help capture this beauty in my artwork.

Artist Bio
Deborah Ladd is a Northcote based Visual Artist and Graphic Designer. She spent a decade working in the art departments of record companies in Australia and the UK before establishing her own Melbourne based studio in 2000. Deborah completed a Diploma of Visual Arts which she began at Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology, before transferring this course to the Northern College of Arts and Technology, where she graduated from in 2021. Her work particularly focuses on painting, mixed media and printmaking and she has exhibited in various shows throughout her career.
