Artist Bio
Meg is a fibre and textile artist who finds inspiration and resources from wanderings on beaches and in the bush, in her garden and neighbourhood.
She celebrates seasonal changes whilst gathering and preparing various grasses, leaves and vines for her artwork.
Over the years she has participated in residential courses learnimg techniques in tapestry weaving, basketry weaving with natural resources eco dyeing, printmaking and quilting, skills which she incorporates into her projects.
Although interested in recycling household plastics and packaging her main passion is found simply creating with natural resources away from influences of technology and media. Throughout her travel and camping trips she is always embracing new effects and approaches to create practical platters and bowls..her skills are constantly evolving!
