Artist Bio
Meg is a fibre and textile artist who celebrates beauty found in nature. She gathers inspiration and resources from beach and bush wanderings and in her garden and neighbourhood.
Seasonal changes are celebrated whilst gathering and preparing various grasses, leaves and vines for her artwork.
Over the years she has attended residential courses in tapestry weaving, basketry with natural resources, eco dyeing, printmaking and quilting and learnt skills which she incorporates into her projects.
As well as her interest in recycling household plastics and packaging her main passion is found creating with natural resources, away from influences of technogy and media.
She is always embracing new techniques and materials in making her practical platters and bowls..her skills are constantly evolving!
