Although common, these birds are seldom seen. They are very small and usually forage in the tree tops. However, they are certainly worth observing, their jewel-like markings making them one of my favourite painting subjects.

Artist Bio
A keen interest in wildlife, particularly Australian birds, is reflected Lyn’s detailed watercolour paintings. The bushland setting of her home provides much of her subject matter and additional inspiration comes from regular trips to other parts of Australia.
Lyn has painted professionally for 20 years and has been the recipient of numerous art awards and commendations. She has been featured on television and in articles in newspapers and journals. Paintings have also been reproduced on calendars, greeting cards, bookmarks, craft kits and as limited edition prints.
