This intriguing bird with the most stunning blue eyes, which some people in this town consider a real nuisance, was sitting on our outdoor table calmly taking in the view. I slowly crept up with my camera and was able to get within two metres of it. It cocked its head every which way, curious as to what I was or would do. I’m not sure if this was a immature male or a female, but I wondered if it was waiting to be dazzled and wooed by blue, or searching for blue items for a bower.
