The Wolves Circle

The circling wolves,
Each taking strips of what they want from me.
These wolves, they don’t want the whole of me, only the strips that suit them. When the accidentally see a strip that doesn’t suit them their friendly manner fades and they snap and snarl, fighting each other for the best strips, tearing me smaller and smaller.
Leaving me with the torn up mess they leave behind.
Ink on cotton rag.
(Will be framed for exhibition)

Artist Bio
Living offgrid in the Stonyrises, Yonie has been creating art her whole life but has struggled with creators block due to anxiety and depression. Now using art as her therapy she puts her emotions in to her work as well as being inspired by the natural world around her and her qualifications in Environmental Science.
Recently she’s been exploring pottery and dip pen drawing, both of which have proven great outlets for her creativity.
