Round and round
$390.00
Round and Round features a unique combination of copper wire circles with fine wire webbing on a backdrop of blues. I was inspired by the interplay of light and shadow on water, and I wanted to capture the delicate, intricate patterns that occur naturally in the world around us. The copper wire circles add a tactile element to the piece, drawing the eye and encouraging the viewer explore the layers and textures of the work. The blues represent the calming and serene quality of water, while the fine wire webbing adds a sense of movement and dynamism.

Artist Bio
My work is an investigation into memories and connection, exploring emotion and boundaries and how these elements present to me visually. In my art practice I predominately use mixed media abstraction to create both 2D and 3D works.
I enjoy working intuitively and use a lot of layering techniques to produce raw, organic and personal pieces that have a fragile dreamlike quality underpinned with a textural boldness that make you want to reach out and touch them.
I’m influenced by my environment and am inspired by the composition, shapes and textures, both in natural and manmade objects and structures. I use an earthy, muted colour palette and materials such as wire, rust, fabric and printmaking that tie in with my feelings on the subject matter.
